Walk For Life - the 30th annual AIDS Walk Colorado - brings more than 8,000 people together from all across the state in awareness of HIV/AIDS in Colorado. People come together as a community at Denver's beautiful Cheesman Park to raise money for vital services for HIV/AIDS clients of Colorado Health Network (Colorado AIDS Project and Howard Dental Center) and many other outstanding AIDS service organizations throughout Colorado.
The event serves as a day to remember those we have lost to the disease with panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt and a 5K Awareness walk through Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Following the walk, the Celebration of Life Festival honors those living with the disease and the progress we've made toward ending this disease. The festival includes numerous vendors, live entertainment, food, beverages, Beer Garden, and a Volleyball tournament.
The 9th annual AIDS Walk Colorado Volleyball Tournament, held in conjunction with the Colorado Gay Volleyball Association, helps draw in additional support form one of Colorado's premiere athletic associations and adds to the festive atmosphere of our event.
